Starch ether, a polysaccharide compound derived from natural plants, shares an identical chemical structure and exhibits properties similar to cellulose. It is a finely powdered, white substance produced by modification, extensive etherification, and subsequent drying, free from plasticizing agents. Combined with cellulose ether, starch ether is compatible with neutral and alkaline systems and most additives in gypsum and cement products. The rapid thickening ability of starch ether comes from dosages typically between 0.01%-0.1%. This small amount, however, delivers powerful water control performance and anti-slip ability.
